This is how Goa is on a Sunday... Totally Deserted!
Seems like the inhabitants have left the place for good! But don't worry... This is only on a Sunday. Monday, they're all back... not with a bang though.
This is the Goa I know, the Goa deserted on a Sunday. I remember many years ago in '95 when my family and I had come to Goa to St. Francis Xavier's Church for the exposition of the saint, my dad had a severe headache and went around looking for a Medical Store. He looked everywhere but could not find an open store on that Sunday. Then he found a wine shop and asked the man if there was any stopre open that he knew. He told him in typical Catholic English, "Wat men, dont search for medicine shop, take one Small (bottle of liquor) from here, have it and go to sleep. Phalyan munser you'll be ok man!"
That's a hilarious quip from Goa I will never forget! Great Blog. I am hooked on as a follower!
